Peace
for us. Hello, my name is Janu Muhammad. I am a native son of Sleman
district, a district in Yogyakarta. I am currently 20 years old and a graduate
student in the Department of Geography Education, Faculty of Social Sciences, State
University of Yogyakarta. Every human born on this earth to be a leader, right ?
For me, a leader is one who always in front, in the middle, or in the back. My
journey was not separated from the figure of a leader. At the beginning of
middle school, at SMP N 1 Sleman I was active in school organizations. I
followed the Intra-School Students Organization (OSIS) and a staff art
department. Since that time I started to grow leadership. In addition to the
council, I also follow the Council raiser (SCOUT), which also aktive in the
religious field. I became acquainted with the organization.

My
journey continued in SMA N 2 Yogyakarta. In my favorite school, it is actually
the gateway to my future. Many of lessons that I got to the school, including
the leader of the future. I became active in the various schools of Islamic
religious organizations, class representative assemblies, and youth academic
groups. In fact, I believe the Chairman KHARISMA or Muslim student
organizations as well as youth group leader scientifically “SMADA Science
Club”. Not only that, I also follow the organization outside the school,
such as in FKAPMEPI located in the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Indonesia.
In addition, I also attended a forum or forums FAROHIS among Muslim student
organizations.

Leadership
atmosphere began to be felt at the time. I learned a lot from older siblings or
alumni of my high school class who have been successful. One of the inspiration
I was Mr. Anies Baswedan, who do not know sir Anies? He is an alumnus of my
school. I met him on the birthday of my school. Indeed, so inspire me at that
time. Pak Anies was a hero to Indonesia, as my desire for beloved Indonesia. I
was so inspirated of his life journey, ranging from Yogyakarta to Jakarta
today. Things I learned from the struggle Mr. Anies are : the importance of
writing and English language. To be a leader should be able to write and speak
English. These two things are the most important for us to develop Indonesia. For
now, I am active in the Community of Research and Social Empowerment, Faculty
of Social Sciences, State University of Yogyakarta. I also participated
actively in the organization of village youth as secretary. Busyness is my
current organization, seeks to contribute to the best of Indonesian students.
My experience of the last few months including a delegation Regional Youth Educator Training of Indonesia, National Youth
Conference in Jakarta, and Indonesian Ambassador of Culture and Tourism in
Bandung. The principle of my life is Life is struggle and give the best for
Indonesia. My goal is to become a primary teacher and leader for Indonesia.
Hopefully I learn more and more biased and provide the best work for the
country. Definitely !
